About the artist

D*Face is one of the most important figures in the contemporary urban art scene. Drawing strongly on imagery from pop artists like Lichentstein, he reflects on our popular culture, satirising the false ideal of good triumphing over evil. Coining the term aPOPcalyptic to describe his work, D*Face indulges on decades of materialistic consumption, reworking, re-thinking and subverting imagery to spectacular effect.
