With a career spanning over 60 years, David Hockney is one of the most important English artists of our time. Hockney found prominence in the 60s and has been painting ever since; most recently producing work on an iPad. In 2018 he broke the auction record with his 1972 work Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures) which sold at Christie's for $90 million.
